After two days of learning, networking and creating, we are proud to share RAPITRAK: EMS Solutions took first place with their innovative application that enables paramedics to communicate with hospitals prior to arrival, sharing real-time data that improves systems of care in time-sensitive emergencies. The platform created gathers, stores and shares information over a Patient and Provider portal, allowing ease of access and documentation throughout the treatment and care process.

What is a “Healthcare Hackathon?”

Healthcare is a rapidly changing, technology driven industry that requires innovation and collaboration to drive change. A Healthcare Hackathon is an interdisciplinary multi-day event where participants come together to innovate and create new ideas and products to address problems in the healthcare sector.

At CCEHIE, We Believe That Education Sparks Innovation

The Hackathon will challenge participants to use CCE HIEs FHIR enabled platform to develop mobile healthcare applications, patient engagement solutions, care coordination systems and population health analytics. Potential solutions include an application allowing Health Care Providers to pull patient records onto their own devices, to direct the transfer of their records to an application used by other providers, to send their data into a health or wellness application that will use the clinical data to enhance their service, and more.
